This two-day, hands-on MIDCAB workshop offers a unique opportunity to train at a verified surgical teaching hospital, following the renowned UZL method, under the guidance of Professor Wouter Oosterlinck. 

Participants experience real-case replications taken directly from the OR, including live robotic-assisted MIDCAB procedures and simulation-based practice. 

With unlimited hands-on time, machine learning–based scoring, and structured feedback, the course delivers truly proficiency-based training in technical excellence and advanced anastomosis techniques.

Location: UZ (University Hospital) Leuven, Belgium

Day 1:

Participants rotate between live RAS-MIDCAB OR sessions and anastomosis practice on real-case simulators. The day includes structured case discussions, performance evaluation, and extended free training time.

Day 2:

The morning includes technical sessions, continued practice on increasingly complex MIDCAB cases, and IMA harvesting (conventional, endoscopic, robotic). The afternoon features simultaneous advanced practice with Octopus Nuvo and simulator-based challenges, concluding with a summary and competition results.
