Course information

In collaboration with the Young Surgical Students Association Zürich (YSSA ZH) , this full-day hands-on training event by YourAnastomosis offers a next-level experience in gradual surgical education. Participants can freely explore a wide range of skill stations: from basic suturing to advanced cardiovascular and transplant techniques. Real-time scoring and feedback support personalized development, while expert-led workshops ensure a fun, structured, and transformative training day.

Duration: full day deliberate practice

Entire day for running workshops

The day includes three focused workshops. Each session offers hands-on learning with expert guidance.

9:30–11:00 Advance suturing and technique

Interrupted and running sutures. Technical tips and tricks, simple interrupted and vertical mattress suturing. Tension of sutuiring and knot tying.

12:00–13:30 Advanced suturing with incision planning and intracutaneous practice

Incision planning and interrupted suturing, practice of intracutaneous suturing.

14:30–16:00 Cardiovascular basics with vascular anastomosis and patch plasty techniques

Anastomosis suturing, vascular sutures and rules, end to side vascular anastomosis and basic techniques of patch plasty.

Entire day advance deliberate practice

Throughout the day, participants have open access to training stations featuring home kits, modular wound care, cardiovascular tasks, and procedure-specific simulations. Multiple suturing levels and free practice options support continuous, self-directed learning alongside the structured workshops.
