Do I need prior vascular surgery experience to join?
No, the course is suitable for residents, early-career surgeons, or professionals returning to practice. Some experience with basic suturing is helpful, but not required. The course is structured to build competence step by step, with clear guidance and practice opportunities.
How is the course delivered?
The course is held entirely online across multiple live sessions with expert instruction. You will receive the complete YourAnastomosis simulator kit before the course and take part in structured hands-on tasks during and between sessions. How does the training flow work?
The YourAnastomosis summer course is delivered in three blocks over five sessions, combining live online training, hands-on simulator work, and objective performance analysis using morphological and CFD evaluation. Participants submit physical samples between sessions to track progress and receive personalized feedback.
- Days 1-2 (week 1): live online sessions with hands-on exercises
- Shipping & analysis 1 (week 2-3): participants submit their first set of anastomoses for evaluation
- Days 3-4 (week 4): continued training based on individual results
- Shipping & analysis 2 (week 5): new samples sent for follow-up assessment
- Final session (week 6): expert review, guided practice, friendly competition, and final instructions
- Final shipping & analysis 3 (week 7): Participants send in their final work for completion evaluation and result summary

Do I need to send my work back by post?
Yes. The YourAnastomosis course involves physical sample evaluation. After each practice phase, you send back your completed anastomoses. Once we receive them, your results are analyzed within hours. All shipping instructions are provided in your welcome pack.
What kind of feedback will I get?
Each submitted sample is objectively analyzed using morphology and CFD. Your results are visualized and discussed during live sessions with an expert surgeon. You will receive performance comparisons and personalized improvement suggestions after each submission.
What does the simulator kit include?
The package contains all tools and materials needed for the course:
- vascular kit (3-5 mm vessels for EtS, EtE, and StS techniques)

You can keep the full kit and continue practicing after the course.
What if I miss a session or can't attend live?
We recommend attending all sessions to get the full benefit of the live instruction and feedback. However, recordings and materials will be made available, and the core of the training is hands-on practice, which you can complete at your own pace. You will still receive feedback once your samples are returned and analyzed.
